Some parts are tricker than others, Technic pins and bushes are an example.
If you get yourself a 2x4 brick of each colour and use natural daylight you should
be okay. Sometimes (technic bushes are another example) LBG can fade and look
a little like light grey, especially if they are slightly yellowed. I tend to
not these when not too sure (or you could do a custom listing and just say unable
to determine colour and sell as a small joblot).

Anybody else have problems with light grey and light bluish grey especially on
the older parts ?
I even have trouble in daylight, maybe its my eyes, but as you say some more
difficult than others, just building a 7965 falcon, an incomplete kit from the
same source and there appears to be three or four greys lol and they should all
be light bluish grey, as its a keeper I say any real panels would vary so its
near enough, customers though are not usually so understanding.
I found one in a lot that I purchased and I can't tell if it's the dark
bluish gray or dark gray. I think it's dark bluish grey, but it's $10
versus $2 so I hesitate to list it and it just sits in a box.

You have nothing to compare it to in either color?
I was irritated by the new colors when they were introducted, but old dark gray
looks weird to me now. I don't need something to compare it with.
We have a daylight desk lamp which we got from Hobbycraft works well for us.
Can still be difficult to tell, some parts seem more light affected than others,
just pulled all the light grey from my store inventory, its still available on
request but I wont guarantee the colour, bad eyes as well lol
