how are technic pins measured? or how do i know I am looking at right size?

Ah, yes, BL’s catalogue measure them in “pins.”
That is, “full” pins are:
They are 2 studs-long (= 2L). (1L = 1 stud = the width of a brick = LEGO’s “Module”
or “M”.)
So, the “half pin”,
is actually a 1 stud-long “thing that goes in technic holes” with a stud on top.
And the “¾ pin” is a 1½ stud-long part = a 1-stud-long thing that goes in technic
holes and a half-stud-long one that goes in thin/half beams
Then, when “L” is used, it’s in studs.
So, if the catalogue were coherent, the following parts would be called “1½ pins”
Axles are in studs.

Pins are easy just look at pictures in catalogue.
I think they are measured by stud length like techinic axles.

I thought you were going out of town? LOL They are measured in terms of studs
long. Place next to a plate and count how many studs long the axle is.

Hi mright. I am calmer and about going out it town applies to next weekend not
this one.
but i do think i might becoming addicted to looking uo stuff in the catalogue
lol.
however, I should be watching tv later to night and we did visit with friends
this afternoon.
