| I have some wedge plate w stud notches in Dark Grey. I am sure that it is NOT
blue grey. why is it not listed as a known color? can I still list it?

Yes, mane people have listed it: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?P=48183&colorID=10
The newer version with the notches was introduced shortly after Dark Gray was
replaced with Dark Bluish Gray, so it's possible that some sets contained
the new part in the older color.

The problem could stem from this set:
The set was released in 2003, so it should have included this part in dark gray
instead of dark bluish gray. However, all the other parts in the set are bluish
grays, so the year of release for this set may be incorrect since the changeover
occurred in 2004.

I have 37 plates w/stud notches in dark gray,
but never parted out any #8385s.
I wonder if the notched part was an alternate, but never noted?
I can't say for certain, but those crazy bonus box sets might have played
a role as well.
