The set released since 1980 until the end of 1993 (seen this in the catalog of
1993)
The only thing to be verified was the type 4 bb12Vc. This is clarified as Johan
from Electrics store pointed out that he had opened a sealed one many years ago
which came with bb12vc.
I also own a motor bb12Vc made in 1989, but the service pack 5086 was released
in 1993. So my motor was from 7865.
This is another auction

In this video, a sealed one is unboxed. The motor is of type 2, bb12Vb
date craved underneath is 42 81 (42th week in 1981.)

Can you post a picture or direct me to where to find a scan of the specific catalog?

I don't know who Johan from Electrics store is. Is that a BrickLink member?

That seems reasonable enough, but how do you know your motor didn't come
from a different pre-1993 train set which you also owned? One picture you posted
shows you own a bunch of them.

Not completely sure about this one, but I'd probably be okay with approving
it.

This is the where you lost me. First, why are we removing the motor now inventoried?
Second, why are we adding the A variant? I don't know if you posted this
in some other thread or not, but please explain here so I'll know what to
do with this specific request.

For helping you not to go through the previous post, I give you the summary of
12v train motors:
Type 1: bb12va
Type 2: bb12vb
Type 3: bb12vb
Type 4: bb12vc
I have requested to add type 3 named bb12vc and then change the current bb12vc
to bb12vd.
Type 1 was replaced by type 2.
Type 2 was replaced by type 3,...

I tried to find that catalog again but I didn't. Whenever I find it, I post
it. But we know that the service pack 5086 providing type 4 motor was released
in 1993. In the following catalog of 1990 page 24, we can see the set 7865
https://images.brickset.com/library/Catalogues/c90uk.pdf
I have a motor of type 4 made 45th in 1989 (so does Stefaan). Johan from the
store Electrics on brickling said that he opened an unsealed 7865 when he was
12years old. So the mystery is resolved.
Also, at the end of the following catalog from 1991, it is written that there
is a special broshure for 12v parts (or sets?).
http://worldbricks.com/en/catalog-year/1990/catalogs-1991.raw?task=download&fid=2886

Johan is the bricklinker who submitted some changes to 7750:
https://store.bricklink.com/wannes_dn?p=wannes_dn

I purchased my type 4 (bb12vc) from bricklink as spare part. So I don't know
to what set it belong to.
The posts of Johan:
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1072988
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1072990
https://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=1073002

We should remove bb12v because it is not indicated which type it is. This item
should be removed as it has to be completely split into bb12va (type 1), bb12vb
(type 2), bb12vc (type 3) and bb12vd (type 4).

Using the date craved on the bottom of my motors, I know that
type 1: produced since 1980 until some time before 6th week of 1981
type 2: 6th week f 1981 (or earlier) until 24th week in 1982 (or 25th or 26th)
type 3; 27th week of 1982 until at least 34th week of 1989.
type 4: 45th week of 1989 until the end of 1993

Since the set 7865 was released in 1980, it came with all four types. I hope
this is convincing.
I requested to add the type 3 as bb12vc and change bb12vc to bb12vd, but it is
not approved yet and I don't know who should approve it. But I think we can
have bb12va as regular and bb12vb and bb12vc as alternates for now until we correct
it completely.

From the vide, we can also see that the following part came in 10 quantities
(in the video 2 are perished!)

trainrim Light Gray Train Rim for 4.5V & 12V Locomotive Wheels
Catalog: Parts: Tire & Tread

For reference, this is my post considering all types of motors:

That is correct (type 4) I have a 7865 set, bought as MIB in 2003. I found the
original picture I received from the seller back in 2003. The Original box is
the 1980-1989 copyright version.

I finally found that catalog. See page 30
https://images.brickset.com/library/Catalogues/c91uk.pdf

This catalog is from 91, I found it here:
https://brickset.com/library/catalogues

It says that for a period no longer than 3 years, we provide 30 supplementary
and service set units: rails, crossing,... and MOTOR.
Well the service pack 5086 is released in 1993, so in 1991 and 1992 they were
still selling 7865. In catalogs of 1990, the set 7865 is present so it was in
market.
