| I know it's already been hashed over and over that sellers want to be able
to buy in their own store, and, for reasons I still cannot fathom, BL has refused
to allow it. But that isn't why I'm posting here.
The real problem is that I'm unable to test my store settings from a customer's
perspective. This is %$#%@# ridiculous. No store on the planet has a policy
that stops employees and management from taking items to a register and going
through check out process (and then void the sale, or abandon it before finishing).
Now this new instant check out has me setting up a system that I'm barred
from using without going to someone else's store to experience their *different*
configuration.
I guess I need to set up a shill account in violation of BL's terms just
so I can make sure my store works as I intend?

I couldn't agree more! Yesterday, I had a buyer tell me the only shipping
option they saw in my store was "Hold Order Open". I've always had two, "Order
Is Complete" and "Hold Order Open". I didn't think too much of it, until
it happened again today. I went to try and get far enough in the checkout process
to see what options I saw for shipping options, but no such luck. I eliminated
the "Hold Order Open" option altogether. I'm hoping buyers can now see the
"Order is Complete" shipping option, or they won't be able to fully checkout.
It would be really nice to see how things work in the flesh rather than through
a friend's account, or a friendly buyer letting you know when things are
going on.

I will add this as a wish in our project management software and will talk to
the team about it this week.
Thanks, relhak and Katie!

The preview site is good to get familiar with new features before they are implemented
in the ‘real’ world, but is always a snapshot of the past. I need to be able
to verify my instant check-out settings at the moment I adjust them. So it would
be nice to be able to shop from yourself, or at least go through the order process
(except the final push on the order button).

| Thank you, I hope you will enable buying form your own store.
Speaking about: although it isn't possible at the moment to buy from your
own store, shopping actions ARE recorded under the Cart tab. See picture that
shows I have an active cart in my shop but not able to buy it.
This demonstrates that BL already correctly handles stored carts but right now
it does not take into account that you can't buy from your own store, so
this is a bug.
When you (hopefully!!) decide to make buying from your own store possible --at
least as a testing option-- you don't have to bother about stored carts.
What is a bug now is a feature in the future! (Hope you follow me.)
Thank you.
Martin

| This could be a dream come true! I made this suggestion almost 6 years ago. I
know I wasn't the first, and I knew I wasn't going to be the last. Being
able to use my own wanted list in my own store would save me so much time and
pain. I would gladly pay 3% for the luxury.

When I sell, I don't particularly want to buy from myself, as that means
paying fees. However, it would be good to have an order like process that allows
a seller to remove stock from their store in the same way as buying a normal
order. I know it can be done adjusting inventory but it would be useful to have
full use of a wants list in my own store before then going to other stores to
find the remaining parts.
As for testing, fully agree.

I can absolutely see the need for testing, but I am wondering how far the test
order has to go. If the order is completed there are fees, the possibility to
manipulate price guide data and the possibility to give yourself feedback...
so the test order should stop before those actions happen.
I can see sellers wanting to use the order process as a way to adjust their inventory,
but I think that that would create to many potential issues.

| Completely echo Wout and yorbrick.
A picklist from your own stock would be awesome, perhaps a wanted list feature
- these items are in your stock button.
And price manipulation would be a big concern. Own site purchases should not
count in the stats.

If it worked how I would want it, they wouldn't matter.
You could use the wants list in your own store, "order" them but instead of it
being processed as an order it gets processed as item removals. That way, there
are no sales records and no fees to pay. So it is the same as it is now, just
much easier than manually removing items from wants lists and inventories.

| I would just omit the self-bought data from the price guide. I take a lot of
parts out of my inventory for personal use, and I wouldn't use the check
out system for pulling parts, as most of what I pull comes from my stockroom,
which doesn't show up in the store. Now if they added a feature to show
my stockroom items when I'm looking at the price guide or my own store,
and let me create a pull sheet like a normal order, *that* would be awesome.
