| Hello
Maybe this topic was a long time ago, but I would like to ask if you think that
payment via paypal should be immediate after the order is placed. Many of you
had situations where customers canceled orders after a week / two, did not pay,
and you had other people interested in your products and prices. Should not it
be like many other well-known sites that like to buy something immediately pay
for it (via paypal)? What do you think about that?
(Sorry for my not quite good english)

I prefer items in order accuracy over instant payment at checkout.
NPBs aren't that such a big issue for my store.

| Instant check out requires the BL can calculate shipping cost for all different
shipping methods, in all countries, which is very very very difficult. On top
of that, it requires that weight and dimensions for all parts be accurate, which
they currently are not.
Instant checkout is a sweet daydream. But "We are working on it"

| I'm on the fence about instant checkout. On one hand it will eliminate questions
about shipping costs and NPBs. However, on the other hand our options to refuse
to pay for or disputing an incomplete order (parts not available) will also
be gone. With the number of stores that have inventory errors I feel like instant
checkout is going to lead to other issues. More non-positive fb and retaliatory
fb.

| I think it will also lead to an increase in paypal/credit card chargebacks for
things like buyer's remorse and unauthorized account use that may otherwise
have ended up as cancelations or NPB's. I'd much prefer to deal with
the NPB process (for the ~1% of orders in my store) and keep my product in hand
than dealing with the double whammy of shipping items and getting hit with a
chargeback after the fact.

Most of these fears stem from guessing and assuming the worst. On the other site
with automatic checkout we processed close to 500 orders, with zero chargebacks
or buyers remorse. I firmly believe it will bring way more good than bad. And
if you don't want to do it, you can simply not offer it.
Niek.
