i am afraid that Bricklink start to capitalize in some weird ways and decide
to show some advertisings (for anything) in one or another corner.
My suggestion is to keep this website clean, for the comfort of all members.

There is no advertising on BrickLink. If you are seeing any I suspect it might
be in the form of a pop-up? If this is the case it seems your system is infected
with malware. Running a virus scan will hopefully get rid of it.

To all of you who think that the OP sees advertising- I don't believe that
they see advertising however the OP is suggesting that they would like to keep
it that way- ad free.
i'm not sure that it is necessary to preemptively suggest to fix things
before they are broken. BL never hinted that they have a desire to do this- Why
would you attempt to wrangle supporters for what is essentially a 'no confidence'
vote in the BL team for an issue that never came up?

Meh. Is it really a big deal? People misunderstand each other all the time. I
get misunderstood on the forum pretty much every day (including today). I don't
think it's anything to worry about.

Sorry! You're too late!
They've already done it. They just call it the "Featured Stores" feature.
Why do you think it will happen now, it didn't happen when they bought the
site, it didn't happen when they did a major rewrite / update. So why do
you think they would not incorporate it with the redesign?
They did come close with the MRSP/RRP links. But seemed to take note of feedback
on that.

Advertisements on the site would be terrible, but you know what would be worse?
If BrickLink changed all of our profile pictures into ferrets! I worked hard
on my profile avatar, and if it was changed into a ferret against my will, it
would crush my hope for humanity!
So please don't do this BrickLink! It's not worth it!
