Hi
I read that:
[REMINDER] The site will be down during the monthly maintenance scheduled at
06/22 from 01:00 AM to 02:00 EDT.
EDT?!?!?!?!??!
What is that????????
The international time definition is GMT - so this EDT does not tell me anything.
Please use an international timestamp, so people know when the site is down

Yes, using GMT would make sense, but you are aware that converting the time isn't
high level particle physics. Here, let me show you:

The EDT time is at the bottom

It wasn't. Happy to see that it returned!

I have been completely ignoring all timestamps and time indications on this website
for the past 12 years. I by now accepted the fact that Bricklink and useful time
indications will just never come together

The international time definition is GMT - so this EDT does not tell me anything.
To be precise, the international time definition is UTC.
UTC is not a time zone. It has nothing to do with geography.
GMT is a time zone, as much as EDT. GMT is UTC+0, EDT is UTC-4.
Please use an international timestamp, so people know when the site is down
Moreover, note that the site now says EDT, but it said EST in the “winter.” IOW,
it uses daylight saving time.
A lot of countries use a form a daylight saving time.
But not all and when they do, they don’t necessarily switch at the same time
(e.g. those using EST/EDT (eastern USA) change the second Sunday in March and
the first Sunday in November; those using CET/CEST (continental Europe) change
the third Sunday in March and the last Sunday in October). That makes two funny
weeks a year
