| I was playing around with the new Wanted List functions tonight. Overall, I really
like how it works to part-together a set.
One thing I would like to see improved, though, is an easier way to use my own
store's inventory.
I had a wanted list with about 50 parts, and the auto-buy function was recommending
two stores that I could get everything I wanted. It was a really good price,
but one of the two stores I do not want to buy from, so I decided to fill my
list by manually selecting stores.
This worked great, except that I wanted to be able to select MY OWN store, so
that I could just use parts that I already have on-hand instead of buying them
from someone else. That was fine, except that it turns out I only had 9 of those
50 lots, so I had to select it. This should be easier.
What I would like to see is one of the following:
Show a lot more stores when I click the show more button.
Or
Have an option to automatically include my own store at the top of the list,
regardless of how many lots I have in the list.
Or
Even before going through the selection process, have an option to edit the Wanted
List by subtracting parts from my inventory (and creating a pull-list).
Thanks!

... so I had to select "Load More" way too often. This should be easier.

So a way to "buy" from your own store? Remove the parts from store's inventory
and update wanted list?
I'd like this, I'm sure there are a number of sellers who both have large
inventory and is also hobbyist as well.

I was gonna ask about this. The last time I took stuff from my own store had
to sit for ages changing stock levels and then changing wanted list amounts.
So would be nice to have them linked.

| I don't know if this will help, but you can check the box on your inventory
page to show all of the items on your wanted list in your store. (First box under
"Show More Options" on the right side of the page.
This will bring up all of the matching items, and each has a link to view the
listing in your inventory that you can edit and delete the number you need.
Still a few steps to go through, but the easiest way I've found.

Thanks! Seems to be the easiest way to go -- now that the fully automated
way isn't available :-/

| Has this changed at all in the intervening 3 year since this post was made? Is
there a way to use your store/stockroom inventory to fulfill wanted lists?

Hi there!
As the quarantine hit us all, I also want to use parts of my own store to build
stuff. Is there a solution for this?
Lego in there guys!

| Not one that won't get you barked at, but the easiest solution is to have
a "friend" make the order for you and either pay the BL fee on it, or I guess
you could cancel the order and not relist the parts if that would stop the BL
fee.
People will be quick to call out that having multiple accounts isn't allowed
hence why you need a "friend" to do it, but it's baffling that this doesn't
have a real solution by now. Going through your inventory manually adjusting
counts is absurd.

| I have nothing to add to the question, nore to the answer, but just want to say
that I am also very interested in a solution, and am very surprised nothing already
exists...
There are so many options and features on bricklink that this one seems to be
a big miss !

Actually, I found a solution ! Sometimes confinement helps...
My method is not very straight forward, but still convenient enough for me.
It consists in managing .xml files of wanted lists and/or inventory with Excel
:
- you export your inventory in an .xml file
- you export your wanted list in an .xml file
- then you open both in Excel
- you make some basic formulas in Excel in order to produce 3 new wanted lists
:
- the common parts between your inventory and your wanted list
- the parts in your new inventory (without previous ones)
- your wanted list without the found parts (the ones from the first list)
- then you export the .xml files from excel
- and you import your update inventory and wanted list.
- Done !
Note that if you are not a seller you can manage your inventory in a dedicated
wanted list, which is what I do and find easier... It is also easier for .xml
management as the fields are the same for all your patlists.
Hope this may help some of you !

Man i really need this feature.
Removing 1000th of parts 1 by 1 is nearly impossible.

I also want this feature. Or just to see in your wanted list how many parts (and
% of wanted list) is in your own stores inventory.
