from time to time a make a small mistake in identifying the right Color of a
part. This happens to difficult Colors like for example silver.
If I take a look into the catalog entry of the parts I can easily find then the
mistake because my uploaded Color isn't in the list "known Colors".
And here's my idea:
Won't it be possible to Change the function of the database in that way that
you will receive an error message if you try to upload a part with an unknown
Color into your inventory?
My expectation with this function would be that the amount of wrong Colors will
be reduced in the future - and this will help everybody.
And maybe a next step could be that inventories with unknown colored parts will
get a message that the users have to correct and update the inventory.
What do you think about this idea?
Best regards,
Oliver.
Hi,
there are lots of part that do exist in colours that aren't supposed to exist...

Simply click the "Show known colors" button on the sell item screen.
My expectation with this function would be that the amount of wrong Colors will
be reduced in the future - and this will help everybody.
And maybe a next step could be that inventories with unknown colored parts will
get a message that the users have to correct and update the inventory.

Hey,
Thank you all for your feedback.
Maybe just a warning message would be good if someone is adding an unknown color.
This would be helpful.
With the background that there are also colors which aren't used in any sets
it is changing my idea to a bad one.
But why do parts in colors exists which have never been used in a set? Are these
parts for example for LEGO or others to create the large models / pictures, etc.
where they need a tons of bricks?
