Thanks for resubmitting the requests. The tires look correct now.
This is a bit of a tough matter, though, because it looks as though we *may*
have 2 different versions of instructions (this wouldn't be the earliest
instance of that happening, btw). Either that or we have the difficult business
of more pieces being included in the set than are shown in the instructions.
I need to check with 2 members who have previously adjusted this inventory. The
first (I am guessing) made adjustments based on the back of the box, which shows
each of the 3 trucks with a small trailer on the back (see the BL box image).
But the instructions I see on Brickfactory don't show the trailer on the
ladder truck.
Next is the member who recently made some adjustments based on an original set.
It could be that the quantities for the extra trailer were an oversight, or he
could have had them in his set. We'll see. 
Hold tight for a while until I hear back from these folks. And also, are you
working from instructions?

Yes. I have the original instructions from 1973. I can scan them if required.
I also noticed that the inventory list in Brickiest.com is similar mine. Please
keep me posted.

Hi Russell,
Just mailed you my thoughts about this (as I was the one to add the most recent
changes to this set).
I also checked the instructions: these do NOT show the trailer on the ladder
truck. But I'm 100% sure it was there. When playing with the set back in
1974, I remember it was very hard to drive backwards because of the trailers!
Yes: it's from the time i actually played with Lego

This is one of those tricky situations where the instructions prove insufficient
for defining the set inventory. Instructions from this time were often difficult
to follow, sometimes had errors, and occasionally just didn't show everything
to be built, especially if the manner of construction could be inferred from
another part in the instructions.
We have an original source that says the pieces for the third trailer were present,
several set and box images show the trailer, and the official piece count confirms
this as well, viz:
239 BL total
-20 due to the tire and wheel assembly being counted as a single piece
-1 due to the ladder being counted as a single piece (not 2)
= 218 = official piece count printed on the box of the US edition of the set:
So at this point, the inventory as it now stands is deemed to be correct. I'll
add an inventory note about the instructions.
