* Add 2 Part 3004pb024 Red Brick 1 x 2 with Classic Fire Logo Pattern (Sticker) - Set 6685 (Counterpart)
Comments from Submitter:
Please consider adding 3004pb024 as a counterpart for this set - 1x2 brick + "fire" sticker.
Wouldn't the stickers for this set need to be applied in a R/L manner, i.e
one specifically for the right side and another specifically for the left?
Russell
Looking at the images on the instructions, it appears as though the stickered
part is interchangeable between the right and left sides. It does not look as
though a specific R/L application is required.

likely not, comparing the two catalog images we have:
A phot/scan difference would result in all three colors of the flame being altered
in a similar way, but look how close the (orange-ish) color of the center section
of the flame is very close to color of the left (red) side of the flame for one
sticker (set 556) and way closer to the right side (yellow) color of the flame
for the other sticker sheet (set 6685).

The flame looks normal in the set image.
This would help only if the set images were photos of actual sets built with
verified inventory of the corresponding box - but for LEGO catalog/box designs,
we know that pre-release design and decoration shots can differ significantly
from the actual set content.

Thanks everybody for the replies.
I've looked around a little and managed to find what appears to be a set
with an original sticker. The sticker looks as if it was printed in only 3 colors
- black, red, yellow. So at this point I am thinking that a single stickered
part should not be shared between the two sets. There is the alignment issue
as well.

It might be black, red, yellow and DARK orange.

Found another image. I am imagining things. Looks like you are correct.

Agreed.
Based on the discussion I tend to agree - the parts aren't really interchangeable
- It appears however that a "new" counterpart needs to be assigned a number as
there currently doesn't appear to be one for a stickered brick for set 556-1......
