Thinking of offering quote requests in my store. Just dipping my foot in the
water for now. One thing that I noticed right off the bat was the awful (please
forgive me) wording given when placing a quote request.
It says:
Requesting a quote is not accompanied by duty of placing an order and sellers
are not obligated to hold the quoted items.
accompanied by duty of? sounds like I'd have to be a college grad
to understand that phrase.
And sellers are not obligated to hold the quoted items when in fact we
can't hold the quoted items. It's made to sound like we have a choice,
and if the items disappear, it is because the seller made a choice not to hold
the items for the buyer.
I think that the wording should be changed. Below is my suggestion, but anything
that reads better than it does now would I'm sure be an improvement.
Requesting a quote does not obligate you to place an order.
Warning: items in a quote request will remain available to other buyers until
the quote is turned into an order.

Thanks for listening,

Support this! Maybe the word 'Warning' should be replaced by 'Please
note' which sounds more friendly in my opinion.
Maybe the wording isn't super (so I support your idea's) but the tool
'qoute' is certainly. I find a buyer should be able to request a quote
in every store. In that way the buyer is sure that there are no hidden fees
or whatever before buying.
