|
| The current system works great for snatching good deals that are newly posted,
but it doesn't tell us if something goes on sale after it's already been
listed for a while. Looking at items in my wanted list, I see I've missed
out on a lot of great deals, presumably because they were on sale.
It would be great if there was an option to be notified when an item's price
changes.

| Yes, supported. It's crazy that notifications are not sent when prices are
changed (if the buyer wants them).

This might work well if it was: A) optional and B) restricted to just sets.
If I got a notification every time a part on my wanted list changed prices, my
phone would blow up.

C) If Pete set his wanted list requirements for quantity and price correctly,
his phone would hardly ring at all, since most notifications would not be sent
out to him as they failed his criteria. ...unless Pete puts things on his wanted
list that he has no intention of buying ....

That was my point. That it would need to be an additional option. A stand alone
option, like the ones currently in place, and can me turned on or off. Thanks

That was my point. That it would need to be an additional option. A stand alone

I still don't see why you would need a special option to turn the feature
on or off.
There is an existing feature that allows you to be notified when an item becomes
available in the quantity and price that you want.
Your comment that If I got a notification every time a part on my wanted
list changed prices, my phone would blow up. suggests that you have not
set up your wanted list(s) properly.
If your phone was going off that often, it would indicate that a lot of parts
you, not the system, but you, presumably wanted to buy at that price, at the
time you set up your wanted list, you have no intention of buying at that time.
Perhaps you should not have selected "email me when this item becomes available"
The proposed system of informing people of newer, lower prices on their wanted
list, would work just fine without an on/off toggle switch

Maybe it could be optional for every wanted list item.
Except for temporary use, I only add expensive items to my wanted list. I have
BL notify me via e-mail when something pops up so I can pick up the best deals
on things I'm looking for. I buy a lot of cavalry minifigures. I seem to
miss a lot of them because the prices change.
