| I suggest that every time a Catalog submission, Inventory Change Request, Image
upload or similar action is rejected by the admins, that a message must be sent
to the submitter to explain why. It is disheartening to take the time to add
something you believe is valuable to the site, and then have it just disappear.
Everyone deserves the courtesy of a reason and response. How else can corrections
be made?
Thank you,
Jen

| I agree that they should give a reason. I wouldn't want an email for every
rejected submission, but a simple note in my Activity list would suffice.

For sure, this is exactly why I don't bother anymore. Too many things I
spent hours working on just nuked for no reason.

Absolutely, Jen!
Courtesy won't hurt anyone.
Thank you!
P.S. -- For some reason I didn't quiet grasp, I always stare at your
amazing ID pic for a minute or two. How wonderful!
All the best,

| I absolutely agree to that. It is just disappointing, if you struggle 1 hour
with that complex catalog change request process, and after that your work is
dumped and you donÄt have any idea 'bout the reason.
- catalog change request process must be made easier and needs more transparency.
The database if THE base for all Bl activities, but due to the currecnt situation,
the qualitiy of the database is not as good as it could be.

| Voted yes. Not trying to put more work on the CAs, as I can kind of understand
how sending "claim denied" messages could be onerous, and potentially the start
of a tiresome back and forth, which I'm guessing is why it is never done.
But the more transparency and communication the better for everyone. Perhaps
we could promote a CA to cs_catalog.

I have seen some of the images that you have submitted of stickered parts, and
there has been no real improvement on the ones that are already in use.
Maybe you could focus on the ones that have no image available, or are so blurry
that they are not exactly clear enough.
But, hey, I have submitted several images and they got refused, which has not
been an issue, however, I agree with your request, and I have voted yes.

Paul

Ouch! I guess I opened myself up to criticism by making this suggestion. I believe
the relative value of my image submissions is not really relevant here. Just
trying to make things better if possible.
Thanks,
Jen

I agree with what you are saying, but my response was not intended as a criticism,
but as a pointing-out of that some images have no real need to be improved upon.
I have noted that there some images that have been taken straight from the box
image/instructions and from LDD which are not quite up to the standard that a
'proper' camera image can be, and I'm all for it to have those replaced.
Like I did mention, maybe you could focus on those parts that have no image,
and these can be found within the catalogue section.
I've done several this way myself, but I just can't get the images reduced
to be used as a small one..
Regards,
Paul

| Hi Jen,
I thought your submissions looked fantastic.
But do not forget that if you spent a lot of time on them, the person who submitted
the ones you are trying to replace might have spent a lot of time and energy
on them too.
I got quite a few of my submissions refused too and I agree it can be frustrating
at times.
Adding a word of explaination as to why you think your image is better sometimes
helps.
Please do not let it deter you from submitting more of your wonderful pics, and
keep up the good work.:o)
Kind regards.
