I just noticed that this morning as well when I posted a suggestion. Just to
be clear the link he is talking about can be seen when you view the suggestions
forum. Click on it and it takes you to:

Maybe they should make a new link, Features implemented that were never suggestions.

Sort of.

As of a couple of years ago. Suggestions are no longer purged. However, no suggestions
have been implemented since this change.

Nor, I think, have any actually been discarded -- the ones that show discarded
were just cancelled by the original poster.

You're right the discarded ones were purged, too. And you used to be able
to get a hint at what Dan was thinking about as some suggestions stayed longer
than 6 months and others were purged. So there were changes made there. So many
details! How can we remember them all?

Now if we can get all forum posts to stop being purged that would be a help,
too.
At lease some marked as sticky with commonly asked questions.
