Would it be possible to add some sort of tick box or 'In My Collection'
feature to the Minifigure catalogue entries?
I am a Minifigure collector and am in the process of trying to collect every
minifigure ever produced, tall order I know. I regularly buy group quantities
of mixed figures and parts and then use this site to cross-reference, find out
which figures the parts belong to and fill in my own catalogue.
One of the most time consuming parts of the process I find is when I have found
the Torso I am looking for in online catalogue, and it is part of 10s, if not
over 100 different figures. I then have to go through every figure number individually
to see if it's already in my collection. I would be so much easier if I was
able to just look at the list of those 100 figures and instantly see which of
those I already have and which I am still searching for.
I am sure many people would benefit from such a feature.

I add them in my inventory, in stockroom (I use stockroom C for it) with a note
in the remarksfield 'my Minifg Box xx' (I even add my purchase value
for it in the remarks field).
That way, when I browse a store and compare to the catalog entry, I notice I
have the fig listed and then know I don't need to buy it. If I don't
have the fig, then I check the priceguide to see where the seller is standing
with his/her price. Works easy
Bricklink is not meant to let you keep track of your personal collection. That's
what http://www.brickset.com is for.
David
i was just about to ask that question about collections and how you keep track
of it if Brickset doesn't have your set and they don't want to add it,
and Bricklink does. as i am slowly moving my collection to brick link.
