I don't think it should be on the actual inventory page itself, but maybe
a flag (or big red banner!) to show that there are pending changes for that
inventory would be helpful on the inventory page

Voted yes offcourse, and it would be nice if at the same time the actual requests
(on the forum) are 'saved' permenantly, including replies from other
members, so people can read back on the comments and reasons for the change.
It's only a small amount of data compared to what the site currently holds
as data, so I doubt it would influence 'storage' capacity on the servers.
