It would be nice if there were a place on the inventory detail input page for
sellers (the page where you change the number of an item in stock etc) had a
spot under, or next to, for instance that indicated if that item was in your
wanted list - nothing complicated saying the number or which list it's in, perhaps
just a capital 'W' somewhere or the word 'wanted' on the right under the Retain,
Stockroom, Del column. This could of course be optional.

The reason for this is that I have often placed items in my store that are also
on one of my wanted lists and it's been sold before I've realised.

Thanks for listening.

You can just search your own store for wanted items, whenever you upload parts
.

I don't even think you have to do that. I think you'll receive a "wanted notification
email" from your own store if it's a new lot.

Yes, if you have the notify turned on for that part .

Only if you set every Wanted List entry to "Notify", which would constantly flood
your inbox with garbage messages. Also, if you get the notification, so does
anyone else who has it set for Notify, and someone else might place an order
for it before you can strip them out of your store.

Or you can be smarter: put the item in your inventory, quantity 1, upload, then
move to stockroom, set quantity to 0. When uploading new parts (either manually
or by part-out), use the 'consolidate' function and 'old stockroom' option. That
way the part is listed straight away into stockroom: regardless the number of
part-outs you do containing the part and you don't need to remember. Once you're
working on your project (as most you browse your own store first), you will notice
you have them

Thanks for all the replies.

I know that all these ways are available to do, and I often search my inventory
for parts on my wanted lists after I have put parts on. But this would save having
to do any of those things and would mean there is no missing of parts that you
need yorself
