The current minimum for auto close store is now 3 days.
I would like to set it to 2 days.
Suggestion: set minimum to 1 day.

If you never "LOGOFF" does your store auto-close at the 3 day mark? If it doens't
then any change wouldn't matter.

Hmm, good point! Maybe the system should "auto logoff" after X hours of inactivity
(no input) from logged on members, much like happens if I were to forget to logout
of my online banking.

The "session" ends automatically after a specific timeout interval. This is the
same as pushing the button "Logoff".

Thanks Arnoud, that is reassuring to know.

Well, this is only if the browser program has ended without "logoff". I'm not
sure what happens with the session if the browser stays running BL but there
is no activity. It depends on how BL has implemented the timeout...
I have bl on for weeks at a time. It does not log you off.

I think there are two different things at work:
1. When you log in to BL, there is a checkbox to "remember me," which I checked
off, and it sounds like you did, too. I've never had to enter my password again
since, which I assume means there is a cookie on my computer which prevents me
from needing to enter my password. The risk with this is that somebody who finds
a lost laptop could really wreak some havoc. Or somebody's eight-year-old could
place an order without permission.
2. I read somewhere (and I can't remember where, but probably on one of the help
pages), that BL updates your last active time whenever you go to a page that
would require you to be logged in. I would assume this is what would trigger
the store closing.
The cookie prevents me from ever needing to enter my password again, but BL only
considers me "logged in" at that instant when I access a page that would require
me to be logged in.
