| I'm trying to find large quantities of bricks that are green in color and want
to build large scenes that will be mostly green but not just one shade of green.
Unfortunately because BrickLink is overly specific when it comes to colors I
have to slowly hand-browse through specific color categories instead of being
able to specify a range of colors I'm looking for in items for sale and in the
Catalog itself.
The wanted list is not a great help either as while it is possible to build a
wanted list with a few elements I do want in available shades of green, I have
to do ten times as much browsing in order to fill out a color spectrum of lots
of different types and shades of bricks I am after.
Therefore I would like to ask if anyone else thinks it's a good idea to be able
to search by color range, IE greens would include anything that is a shade of
green without being too specific.
If specifying green as a keyword would change the way search results turn items
up that would be of some help but I really need something that makes color ranges
possible.

| The hard part with a range is determining what's in it. Turquoise is blue and
green.

| I'm thinking along the lines of tackling more common cases where someone would
want a particular color range and that this suggestion either have customizable
and limited color ranges or that BrickLink members hammer out what is and is
not part of a color range.

And therefore, it should be included in both a palette of "greens" as well as
in a palette of "blues" if such a color range searching scheme were devised.

| Quick question: If you've got good color vision and some dark turquoise elements
handy please take a look at the color shade chart on the below wikipedia link
and tell me which shade it most closely matches on the turquoise color comparison
chart near the bottom of the entry. I think the LEGO color is predominantly
blue in color but does retain sufficient green to give it a small greenish tinge
to the parts it comes in. If that's the case it should closely resemble the
bottom-most turquoise color.

| Appears greener than the bottom one. Though I consider Maersk Blue to have a
slight greenish tinge to it.
