I was wondering if it would be possible to put in the price guide for sets a
small S,C, or I next to the "sold in the last 6 months" sales.

I sold a new, complete version of a set a few months ago for a certain price,
and I just recently listed a new, sealed version for $30 more. The casual buyer
might look and think mine is overpriced when one sold for $30 less, when they
really aren't comparable sales.

This is not exactly what you are talking about... you can exclude incomplete
sets from the price guide here -

not sure but think it also excludes sold items as well as current listings.

Having an indicator on the price guide page would be very nice.

No, this is NOT sufficient, it seems people still sell partially complete sets
and do list them as being complete; a set without original (NO copies!) instructions
and gear is in my book NOT complete!
A good example of how this is misused is here:
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?S=8462-1&viewExclude=Y
You 'll only notice when visiting the adverts theirselves, which is very cumbersome
to check for every advert.
I would very strongly recommend to add the following eight separate icons/filter
settings to be included in the overview of the price guide per set for Outer
Box, Inner Box, Inner Yellow Tray, Original Instructions, Instructions Copy,
Original Gear, Gear Copy and Bricks!

Of course this means that all sellers (incl. myself) have to fill in this information
for each and every set they sell, but it makes comparing for buyers a whole lot
easier. And in case of a New AND Sealed set these parameters could naturally
also be set automatically.
