good to see a note next to this IP address with a geo location where this IP
originates from. Not very hard to implement I think.

It would definately be nice to have this integrated into Bricklink, but until/if
that happens, you can do a lookup yourself here:

Use the 'Live Product Demo' on the right hand side and it will match IP addresses.
It's not 100% accurate all the time, but is pretty good.

for one very simple reason.
I just checked out a variety of IP addresses of buyers against addresses. many
were 50-100 miles from the buyers actual location. Thus its very easy for someone
to be falsy given an incorrect country, especially if they live close to the
border.
Dont assume that people will only panic about differences as large as US/Nigeria...
people will raise questions every time they have a buyer in France whose IP comes
from Germany

away from where I really am!

IP geo location is already implemented on BL used to check whether a buyer is
inside/outside EU in order to show store prices including/excluding VAT.
It seems to work very well, I haven't seen problems reported on the Forum...
(but then again I don't read the Forum all the time).
