Hello!

I wish I knew about BrickLink sooner because I would've made an account a LONG time ago!

I was officially introduced to LEGO in 2001 with my first couple of sets being Pohatu from the Toa Mata and the Recon Mech RP from the Life on Mars sets. I was also playing LEGO Racers 2 at the time, so seeing a set I owned in a videogame was mind bending to me! I'd say Recon Mech is my all-time favorite set along side some of the early Harry Potter and Star Wars sets. My parents subscribed me to LEGO Club magazine after they saw how much I liked LEGO. It was always so exciting when the latest issue would show up in the mail and I would just gaze at everything that was WAY out of my price range. In a time before online shopping was normal, my first at home purchase was the Shell Tanker. Sending in the order sheet and pulling the set out of the mailbox a couple of weeks later was one of the coolest experiences ever! Only thing that could top that would be going to Legoland...which I did! It's where I got my driver's license! The biggest set I've owned was the original Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank I received as a birthday gift in 2005. I was a really dumb kid though. The battery in my Mace Windu minifigure eventually died and I completely destroyed him while trying to access it. I wish I knew how valuable he would become...

I was a pretty big LEGO fan, consuming many forms of content over the years but for some reason, I completely dropped it around 2011. By this point I had gotten rid of most of my sets or they were just lost in storage somewhere. I kind of enjoyed NINJAGO at the time and watched the first season when it released but never actually got into it or bought any of the sets. It wasn't until The LEGO Movie 2014 premiere when I became interested in LEGO again. Though, I didn't start collecting again until 2020 when...well we were all there so, you know! Being locked in my room made me a bit nostalgic so I started looking for some of my old favorite sets on ebay. I re-purchased the Recon Mech along with the Spider-Man Action Studio and the Harry Potter Flying Lesson set. I eventually discovered BrickLink but didn't make an account until the end of 2023. I'm staring to use it more actively, building my collection page based on what I used to own, want listing a BUNCH of sets I missed out on, buying some of my favorite sets and discovering new sets and minifigures that I think are really cool. It looks like I've been absolutely sleeping on the NINJAGO sets! They look AMAZING, especially the NINJAGO City sets! I binged the TV series including Dragons Rising (so far), watched the movie and ended up buying Sora's Transforming Mech Bike Racer because it just looks so cool! The Monkie Kid series looks just as good so I might get into that as well!

I can't say that I'm a fan of the MSRP that LEGO places on some of their products these days but I'm really happy to see some great deals from sellers here on BrickLink!
