| | Blocked Up is a venture undertaken by me, Zy. Being a longtime fan of an individual’s ability to be creative, especially through the medium of LEGO, a Bricklink store felt like a natural business to dive into. And being that LEGO is one of my favorite ways of self expression, undertaking selling LEGO via Blocked Up felt like a natural synthesis of creativity and business. As such, I am looking forward to helping others in their creative ventures.
From the very instant I was exposed to Lego and began playing with my first Lego set - that being of the Robin Hood theme eons ago – until now, I have learned to appreciate different tastes in styles/designs/MOCs. Moreover, seeing how Lego has helped stoke the embers of creativity in countless individuals in ways I couldn’t have imagined, I began to take incisive notice of the community of builders and AFOLs that put out great content continuously all through passion and perseverance. Youtube helped greatly in realizing how much bigger this community is than I previously thought.
Our hope with Blocked Up is to hopefully integrate seamlessly into this community, not only by sharing the passion for LEGO with others, but hopefully being a helpful hand to all those interested in constructing the MOC of their dreams, whether it is for a convention or merely to harness their creative individuality in their own unique way. Getting every individual (including ourselves) passed their own personal Square One in each creative venture is one of our main goals, but even more so, if we can help others achieve, and go beyond their dreams in any way shape or form, we will consider this venture a success.
That said, Blocked Up has a business component to it. As such, we will of course always strive to do our best in helping individuals with whatever we may be able to. And hopefully, we all end up learning much more in the process, and simultaneously push our creative latitudes into thresholds unknown to us before as we each continuously pick new paths to venture upon.
