About Me Pages: About AlmightyGorilla (86)
I have been trading and flipping toys since I was 6. I started selling collectibles before there was internet and online sales did not exist. I took an old nickname as my sales moniker in 1991 and basically only sold to keep my collection growing. I switched from action figures to LEGO when Covid hit at first because of the empty shelves in all the big name stores. I bought a few new sets and joined some pages about learning and identifying LEGO, then I noticed they were also dwindling in the shelves. I purchased a 17 lb lot for $75 and I told the lady the truth about what the lot was actually worth, and I wasn't able to pick it up for a week and told her she should post it again for more. She said that she appreciated the honesty and would hold it if I promised to pass the honesty and great prices along. Long story short, I am still rebuilding Star Wars sets out of that lot. I sold most of the LOTR and first refurbished pieces to a local guy at basically what I had invested in the lot. We get together and trade still not exchanging money or keeping track of who got what. If I get the free time I plan on running my store by those standards. I need to get my inventory done and maybe open up by the new year. I have bought 6 action figures since the first LEGO buy and now have at least 50 sets in my personal collection and 25 incomplete sets and I quit counting my minis. The only complete set in my inventory, was my first complete rebuild from that 17lb lot and I needed the Nemoidian hat and gun to complete the set and here I am, on the site I bought those from. I specialize in Star Wars, but will offer a little bit of everything.
