| My first Lego set was the Castle 375. I have a memory of my father when I was four-years-old building an even bigger castle with every Lego we owned on two base plates. This taught me those little things you do with your children can stay with them for a life time. About 20 years after my father passed away, I had my first son. On his third birthday, he unexpectedly got a Spiderman Lego set from a friend. After he started constructing the model from memory, we got him some more sets. He now builds 3-8 hours a day, which is more focus than I ever had as a child. I imagine that one of these times we spend building Lego together, he may remember always.
While I love castles the most, my wife loves cathedrals and Roman architecture and used to build them virtually in Minecraft. To draw her into this hobby, I am working on getting the bricks together to build the duomos of Italy. |
