This is the Botanica Orbita - a futuristic research laboratory, where a civilian backed space mission aims to explore a recently discovered planet in the habitable zone of a distant star. This planet has a breathable atmosphere, abundant water, hot dusty deserts and exotic looking jungles.

The worlds greatest botanist, Dilbert Brickenstein leads the mission alongside his geologist daughter Jenny. They are accompanied by two professional astronauts, Commander Flame and Navigator Slingshot.

The Botanica Orbita is a self-sustaining solar powered command centre. It has everything this mission will require. It is a 3 layer modular building.

The Lower level houses the living quarters and garage. Living quarters include sleeping and kitchen area while the garage area is for storing and maintaining the 2 smaller vehicles and houses the tools.
The middle level contains the laboratory and greenhouse. Complete with an assortment of laboratory equipment.
The upper level is the command centre, with life support equipment, an abundance of screens and communication equipment.

No Space set is complete without some awesome vehicles... there are 4 included, 2 large and 2 mini builds.

The Vortumnus is a large intergalactic space craft with plenty of details. Both vehicles have interchangeable pods, the craft can house 2 in the rear.
The Porter is a 6 wheel all terrain vehicle, perfect for exploring the planet surface and acquiring specimens.
There is also the scooter and a sample collector craft for local expeditions.

My mission was to create an authentic fun Space set with purpose that doesn't feel derived from any of the space sets that have gone before.

All elements have been built in real life (the whole thing was built in studio & real life simultaneously) and are very substantial and can be played with.
