Fire Lookout Towers are towers located on high vantage points in nature reserves and used for wildfire detection. They were mainly built in the early 1900’s. Most of them can be found in the wilderness and parks in North America, but almost all of them are out of service today.

This tower is still in use though and home to Cody and his dog Rover. Together they live in the “cab” up top for a few months a year to look out for fires in their area.

The build was inspired by a story I read online about someone who worked as a Fire Lookout and lived in a tower for several months a year. After watching several videos about the towers I wanted to build one with LEGO bricks.

What has changed since last version?

Major changes to the design of the cabin
Major structural changes to reduce piece count and improve building experience
Redesigned truck
Portable toilet replaced by outhouse
Several color changes
Updated minifigures
