This a LEGO-violin. So unlike the actual playable wooden instrument, this is made from plastic and you can build it yourself!

The brick-violin is made with all the curves of the original instrument, and the top and back of the body are also curved outwards as the original spruce and maple. The fingerboard is angled slightly, down to the scroll. The strings are attached just at the end of the fingerboard, before the pegbox and scroll. The other end of the strings are attached to the bridge at the middle of the body. The strings continue down to the tailpiece. The chinrest fits just beside the tailpiece.

The LEGO-violin also comes with a bow strung with the purest plastic bricks. The sound might not be crystal clear Vivaldi, but it looks like the real deal.

The total length of the violin is 58 cm and the bow is 73 cm.

This is a slightly changed version of the violin from series 9 - a couple of the bricks i wanted to use are available for this series!

So what’s next for me to build? Maybe a full size double bass …
