This set showcases a picturesque scene of a mountain road, representing Mount Fuji, with the facade of four buildings that are inspired by Japanese architecture. Fujiyoshida was my inspiration for creating a composition of low-rise buildings with views of a magnificent natural landmark.

The facades feature a book store with a vast number of books neatly displayed on the shelf which are visible through transparent door and window. The writer outside is holding their current favourite book. On the top floor you get a glimpse of a cozy kissaten (tearoom that also serves coffee).

Right next to the book store, there is a pottery studio displaying crafted flower pots on the balcony. Including a peak into the artist’s studio on the second floor, where you can spot a paint palette among the pottery. The artist who owns this shop is standing outside, having just arrived to begin the day working on her crafts.

The Florist shop is on the opposite side with harmoniously arranged plants in the window display and the florist who owns the shop is watering plants outside.

Lastly, is the ice cream shop with shokuhin sampuru (food replicas) on a display in the window to visually showcase the various types of the ice creams that are available. Outside the front of the shop, a child is enjoying their ice cream.

There is also a middle section of the road which can be placed in the center to complete the scene. This section features a couple of shrubs, a streetlamp, and an avid photographer who is taking photos.

This set can be displayed as a compact book nook with shops on both sides or can be opened up horizontally giving a more complete view of the scene.
