Pirates didn't always sail in large heavily armed ships. In fact many sailed smaller vessels such as sloops and brigantines. These light weight ships allowed pirates to quickly catch up to unarmed merchant ships and also make quick escapes when in danger. This model represents exactly that, a brigantine armed with 8 cannons and 2 masts making for the perfect vessel for this captain. This brig in particular is called 'The Ranger' named after the real life pirate Charles Vane's ship.

For a small ship, there is plenty of room for the crew to maneuver around the cannons. The captain's quarters can be easily accessed by removing the poop deck.

I designed this for a MOC I'm working on. Hope you like it!
