Enchanted Island meets Johnny Thunder!

🏝️🗿🔍🗺️

I grew up loving many LEGO themes, however the Islanders and Adventurers were the biggest source of imagination and creativity for me. With this model I’ve paid tribute to both themes at once. Johnny Thunder and his crew have discovered a deserted island. This mysterious island was home to a tribe of people who carved elaborate stone statues and crafted relics from gold. A mask and shield also remain, telling the story of these forgotten island inhabitants.

The minifigs are my interpretation of Johnny Thunder, his partners Pippin Reed and Dr. Kilroy, and the villains; Sam Sinister, Alexis Sinister and the henchman known only as Gabarros.

I built a small steamboat that could either be used by the heroes or the villains (you decide). There are play features such as a collapsing bridge, hidden treasure, poisonous frogs, spiders and snake, but the main play feature is storytelling through worldbuilding and beloved characters.

I designed this model to be built in separate modules. I wanted to allow multiple people to share the build experience together. The steamboat, the shipwreck and large statue can also be built independently giving even more people a chance to participate.

The part count sits precisely at 1994 elements, which is the year the original Enchanted Island was released. I have only included one sticker for the Islander’s Shield since that printed element is no longer available. There are two skeletons, each with Pirate headgear. And the shipwreck is designed to resemble the Renegade Runner, released one year prior.
