The Project

The Lost Lighthouse of Atlantis is an ancient lighthouse inspired by Greek and Roman architecture, imagined as one of the forgotten remnants of the legendary city of Atlantis.

Built along the coast, the lighthouse was designed to guide ships and help sailors locate the shoreline from far out at sea. A pier next to the lighthouse allows ships to dock and creates many possibilities for combining the model with existing boat sets.

The region surrounding the lighthouse is mainly focused on fishing. The local inhabitants live according to the rhythm of the sea and rely on the lighthouse as an essential landmark when returning to the coast after their fishing trips.

The model includes a working mechanism that allows the lighthouse flame to rotate, bringing the build to life and reinforcing its role as a beacon for ships at sea.

The Story Behind the Project

The original idea was actually very different.

At first, I wanted to create a large tower in an elven-inspired style, with a fantasy architecture that felt elegant and mysterious. As I developed the project and researched different architectural styles, I discovered the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Its architecture, history, and role as a guide for sailors inspired me to explore the idea further.

I then began combining the inspiration of the Lighthouse of Alexandria with my original fantasy tower concept. Little by little, the project evolved into something more mysterious:an ancient lighthouse lost in the world of Atlantis.

Since Atlantis is still a relatively unexplored theme in LEGO creations, I wanted to imagine my own part of this legendary world: an ancient and forgotten place that is still alive thanks to fishermen, travelers, and ships arriving along its shores.

With The Lost Lighthouse of Atlantis, my goal is to create a model that works beautifully as a standalone display piece, while also becoming part of a larger world when combined with other sets, especially boats.
