Brickstone Courthouse stands with a quiet authority in the middle of the city – its tan façade lending it both elegance and restraint. Built in a classical style, the structure is defined by symmetry and balance – tall windows line each side with a central portico rising proudly at the entrance. Four sturdy columns support the canopy, drawing the eye toward the main doors beneath.

On the top of the courthouse, a statue of Justitia overlooks the building, symbolizing justice and vigilance. Below, a police officer stands guard at the entrance, reinforcing the courthouse’s role as a place where order is maintained and decisions carry weight. The steps leading up to the doorway create a sense of ascent, as though visitors are stepping into a space set apart from the ordinary.

Once we step into the building, before we can seek justice, we have to face the metal detector and the officer standing by. The reception is designed to handle the daily hustle of the city’s legal system. To the left of the main hall lies the heart of the building, the courtroom, which is adorned with the scales of justice.

As we ascend to the first floor with the elevator, we can almost hear the quiet hum of the legal machine at work here. We then arrive to the waiting area. To the left, we can find the clerk’s office area with modern amenities, a stark contrast to the classical exterior. And finally, to the right, we can step into the judge’s chamber where the real, behind-the-scenes work happens.
