When the leaves begin to turn and the days grow shorter, there is no better place to be than the family cabin. Tucked away among the trees and perched on the rocky shore of a lake, this secluded retreat is where three generations come together to escape the busy world. Days are spent fishing from the jetty, evenings are spent around the fireplace, and clear nights are perfect for watching the stars from the balcony. Welcome to the “Modern Log Cabin”!

The “Modern Log Cabin” combines the traditional look of a log cabin with modern architecture and comforts. Built on a rocky outcrop, the two-story cabin features wooden logs, black metal window frames, a large steel-framed bay window and a dormer leading to a small balcony. A path winds around the rock and leads up to the cabin. Solar panels on the roof provide renewable energy and allow the cabin to operate independently from the power grid.

The ground floor contains the “Modern Log Cabin’s” main living spaces. The open kitchen has an island that also serves as a dining table, while the large bay window provides a small sitting area with a view of the outdoors. At the back of the cabin is the living room, with a blue couch, fireplace, TV and a rug that ties the whole room together. The staircase to the second floor is located behind the couch, with the bathroom underneath. A large floor-to-ceiling window front runs across the back of the cabin and fills the interior with natural light.

The second floor is the grandparents’ bedroom, with a large bed and freestanding bathtub. A gallery overlooks the living room below, while the dormer opens onto a balcony with a telescope, making it the perfect spot for a little stargazing.

The “Modern Log Cabin” comes with 5 minifigures: the grandparents who own the cabin, their daughter and son-in-law, and their grandchild. The family dog and a deer complete the scene.

The roof panels can be removed and the model can be taken appart to allow easier access to the interior.
