Welcome to my store! When you are here, I'm going to do my best for you. I try my best to be quick, efficient, and responsive. If you need anything, contact me, but I'm going to lay out the basics here so you can know what to expect.
Used Pieces - I sell very few used pieces, but when I do they are
usually pieces that I have used once on a model and then taken back
off. I don't post a used piece without giving it a good look over. If
there is any way you could actually tell it has been used, it'll be
noted in the comments.
New Pieces - The bulk of my
inventory are brand new pieces, taken by me out of a sealed set.
Usually within the last month or so. They've been carefully sorted and
stored in a smoke-free home. I sort pieces into small bins to minimize
rummaging. I don't inspect every single new piece, but I believe that
my system insures that the pieces will be in the condition that you
could expect from a new set you bought at the store. If I DO see
something, I'll make a separate lot and note it in the comments.
Delicate Pieces - When I open a set, minifigs, minifig pieces,
printed tiles and bricks, and flat silver barbs get segregated into
small ziplocks or sealed in a polybag because contact with other
pieces can damage them.
Minimum Buy and Lot Limits - Please respect my minimum buy and lot limits and do not ask for exceptions. I am soft-hearted, but have had to steel myself to protect time with my wife and daughters. I think both of my limits are very reasonable. I do have one helper if you are stuck between my low prices and these limits. Under custom items, I have an item called Minimum Buy/Lot Limit Exception. You can use this to manually raise the price of your order to get over the limits. Please understand that you are not buying any physical item. I put it up as an experiment after someone asked if they could just pay me the difference, but it is now permanent because it has often been used.
Packing - Most of my orders are sealed with an impulse sealer. It
aids me in verifying the order, but I also think it makes an attactive
and useful package for the customer. When possible I reuse plastic
from Lego sets. My goal is to control my costs and get a good tight
pack without making it difficult for you to sort your pieces on the
other end. Minifigs will come in individual homemade polybags. I think
you'll be pleased with this system.
Invoicing - I pull
and invoice as soon as possible and I think you'll be pleased. If you
order during the night, I can almost always have you invoiced before I
go to work and if you order during the day, I can almost always have
you invoiced before dinner. I'm especially fast if you order in the
evening when I am home. If there is some reason that I won't be able
to hit the windows I described, I'll contact you as soon as I see your
order and let you know when you should expect it.
Inventory Problems - Occasionally I find that I am a piece short to
fill your order. I don't know how it happens! But it does. My default
when that happens is to offer you a 150% credit on your order for the
value of the missing piece. But I understand that that many of that
piece may have been the reason you came to my store in the first
place. If the credit isn't going to work for you, let me know right
away and we will figure out what needs to happen. I may have some
coming soon. But in that situation, if you need to order from someone
else to get what you need and you need to cancel the order, I
understand.
Late Payment - I am assuming when you make an
order that you'll be paying in a day or so. But I also understand that
life happens. Please, please, PLEASE don't leave me in the dark. I'm
not going to get upset at you if you have to wait until payday or
something. If you don't pay in a week or so, I'm going to send you the
invoice again and a few days after that I'm going to start the
non-paying buyer process. But none of that has to happen if you just
let me know what is going on. If I know what is going on, I'll stick
your mailer in a corner and await further instructions.
My mistake - I count your pieces twice before I pack, but occasionally
something happens. I apologize in advance if something like that
happens. Let me know right away and we'll figure out how to make it right.
