With those two words in mind, when I inspect parts to store in my inventory, I strive to retain the best of those I inspect. My view is that LEGO pieces, although a kids building toy, can be used but should not be passed on abused. If I am in err please let me know but you can expect a used brick to have minor scuffs and the ocaisional dimple but unacceptable to me is deep scratches, chew marks, chips, and scratched or faded print. I inspect each part before washing in soap and water, before storage and during order fill. Since I go through hundreds at a sitting in my computer room, one or two may pass by my weary eyes or I might slightly err in my judgement. Though there may be scuffs, a edge chip or two on bricks or plates from breaking set apart, or single dimple or two max, you should not see ant deep long scratches, breaks, cracks, print missing or other detrimental condition issues. Keep an eye out for i try to put hundreds of individual pieces both common and unique to sets.
