Welcome to Sable Wyvern

(formerly Addicted2Lego)

We are happy that you have stopped in today. Please enjoy yourself as you look around.

Our email account receives hundreds of messages a day, so PLEASE use the Bricklink Messaging system rather than email so we can respond in a more timely fashion. Thank you!!
Please note that this is a hobby rather than a business. We try to process orders in a timely fashion and strive to provide excellent customer service. The shop is often run by one person dealing with two young children that keep them busy. Your patience is appriciated. That being said, if you need anything or are in a hurry for your order, contact us through the BL messaging system for faster service.

A brief explanation of item conditions:

  1. NEW sets are in MISP (Mint in Sealed Package) unopened factory sealed packaging unless otherwise specified. Package may have price stickers, store security devices, or very minor shelf-wear unless otherwise specified in the item description, as we restock will will try to note each lot with more pricise descriptions. Any damage to the box, such as tears, waterdamage, stains, writing, loose seals, etc., are noted in item descriptions to the best of our ability.
  2. NEW parts come from sets that were opened by Addicted2Lego staff, purchased new from the Lego Group, or purchased new from a reputable seller. Please note that parts are not always perfect when they are new. When substandard parts are noticed they are either moved in to our used inventory or disposed of. On occasion some may slip by us undiscovered.
  3. USED sets are guaranteed 100% complete according to the Bricklink inventory. Extra parts are not usually included. Instruction condition will be noted in the item description.
  4. USED parts are in excellent condition unless otherwise specified in the description. Substandard parts are only kept if they are exceedingly rare. The Lego Group, International has changed die manufacturers in the past and color variations occur depending on the age of the part. We will be listing these as separate lots so pay attention to the item descriptions.

A brief history of our store. . .
In the dark ages Shawn and Helen were born on separate continents and knew nothing of one another. Shawn received his first Lego set for Christmas in 1976: 196-1 Antique Car. He was instantly addicted to little plastic bricks from Denmark. His parents tried to give him other less expensive brands, but he only played with the Lego. I entered my dark ages not by losing interest in Lego, but by being so poor I could not afford any during military service and a few years following.
Meanwhile, in Africa, Helen has a baby boy in the early 1990s and persues her career there at an internet service company.
In 1993 Shawn gets hired as a Wildland Firefighter. With a little money flowing in again Shawn soon discovers eBay and starts buying more Lego, more Lego, and even more Lego. One day an epiphony occurs. Shawn realizes he has too much Lego! He begins to sell some items to buy other items more precious to him. Shawn is hired as a Smokejumper (a crazy person who parachutes into remote areas to put out wildfires) in 1998.
One fateful winter Shawn is online waiting for eBay auctions to end, but there are no last minute questions to answer, so, in his boredom, he wanders into a chatroom to remind himself how boring they are. This backfires and he ends up spending all night instant messaging with a gal form Africa. Shawn has been laid off from work for the winter and expects to be rehired in February, but learns that he will not be starting work until June instead. With so much time, he lists a bunch of Lego and buys a ticket to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, Africa. In 2004, on his 3rd trip to Africa, Shawn and Helen are married there.
Shawn returns to the USA in the spring of 2005 and about half to a third (in volume) of his Lego collection is listed in 1,100 Lego auctions. Bricklink is discovered by Shawn while getting those last few parts to complete some sets. $26,000 in bids are received. In the end, due to non-pay and fees, $16,000 are raised to bring Helen and their son to the USA in June of 2005.
Our Bricklink store is opened in 2005.

Over the next few years a daughter and son are born. Using Bricklink Sales as a downpayment, we move into our new house in December of 2007. The bottom falls out of the housing market and we suddenly owe much more than the house is worth. At the time of the move, all stock was removed from the store and restocking bagan.

A huge "Thank You!!" to the Bricklink Community for helping us get into our new house!!! Everyone always laughed at me when I told them I would build a house withLego. Here it is....

Now we just have to pay it off!
Restocking of sets completed in 2008 and stocking of parts began.
First round of new part stocking completed in 2011. The second round of parts stocking was begun, but never finished as work and family began to take up much more time. New set stocking has been accomplished about once a year.

Used parts are being stocked in stockroom and will not be made available until Shawn has gone through his personal collection to make sure all the parts he needs (or wants) are there.

I retired from the Forest Service in October of 2021. Due to some health issues interfering, Bricklink has failed to generate sufficent income quickly enough so I accepted a position with Bricks and Minifigs in Boise, Idaho. In other news, I have now failed to become a contestant on Lego Masters twice. I will be trying out again for Season 5. The

I am also part of the Idaho Lego User Group leadership team that build a 1.2 million piece Avatar, The Way of Water diarama. Here is a link to the news story on the project. Avatar The Way of Water MOC. We were interviewed by Beyond the Brick! The MOC will be on display at the Disney Studio in Burbank, CA December 9th and 10th of 2023.

Restocking of sets was accoplished and will continue to be restocked as time allows. Some renovations are still needed in our house and parts will be continue to be added. There will be lots of parts! I think there are in the arena of 1 million still to put in stock. That is 500 shoe boxes and about 20 3 cubic foot boxes of sorted new parts. About half that much in unsorted new, and an equal volume of used parts.

Thank you so much for visiting us!
