This castle is the grand prize winner of the 2004 Ultimate Hogwarts Contest hosted by the LEGO company. Several thousands of entries from the United States and Canada were received. Judging was done by none other than the actors and actress who portray Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermoine Granger (Emma Watson) in the movies. Built by Todd Dillard, age 16, and his parents, the castle used 4 sets of the original 4709 Hogwarts Castle, 3 sets of the new 4757 Hogwarts Castle, at least 1 of each of the other Harry Potter sets plus thousands of pieces collected by Todd since he was two years old. Bricklink was an invaluable source for pieces needed to add to this creation. Using 6 large gray baseplates, it measures 30" x 45" x 36" tall. The Hogwarts Express travels through the base of the castle. The back side is open with different rooms visible such as the Chamber of Secrets, Dumbledore's office, the library, the bathroom with the troll, moaning Myrtle's bathroom, Lupin's classroom, the Great Hall, Griffindor and Slytherin rooms, and Fluffy guarding the trap door.
CONDITION OF PIECES:
All LEGO listed on this site come from a smoke-free environment. LEGO classified as new are broken down from sets or pick-a-brick walls in LEGO stores and have never been used in building. There may be minor scratches on them while being shipped and jostled around in the boxes. We do not scrutinize every piece sorted from sets and minor flaws are to be expected. The larger the surface, the more likely scratches will appear. Any serious damage we notice will be noted. We cannot be held responsible for variations in color as LEGO seems to change their dye lots quite frequently. Instructions may have minor flaws on them as they are not always placed in the boxes with care. Used LEGO have been built with but are in excellent to good condition or will otherwise have damages stated in description such as heavy scratches, fading, etc. They have been washed in a detergent/bleach mixture to disinfect them before being added to inventory.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
At this time, we accept cash, cashier's checks, money orders, personal checks and paypal. Orders paid for with checks or money orders will not be mailed until payment clears (approximately 8-10 business days). International orders may be paid for with paypal only. If paying with Paypal, please do not pay for an order until you receive an invoice otherwise the money will be refunded to you and an additional $1.00 charge will be added to the shipping and handling fee. Please include your invoice number with your payment. We ship to your address listed with Bricklink. If you want a different shipping address, please include that information in the comment section when placing your order. Do not send a separate email or include it with a paypal payment as we do not always receive them. Only correspondence through Bricklink is acceptable since this is who you are ordering through. This request for a different shipping address needs to be a part of your order. If your address or name with Bricklink is different from the one with Paypal, we reserve the right to refuse payment. If you do not include an address with your paypal payment or it its different than the one listed with Bricklink, your shipping will be delayed since your package will require a trip to the post office to mail. Payments made with an incorrect amount will be refunded and an addditional $1.00 charge will be applied. Please note that orders paid for with someone else's Paypal account should be sure to include the order number and name on the order in the comment section when submitting payment or the payment may be returned. Please check the amount you are paying carefully.
SHIPPING & HANDLING FEES:
WE DO NOT SET THE RATES, THE POSTAL SERVICE DOES! We will accept small orders but you will be charged a minimum of $2.00 for processing the order plus shipping. Orders will be shipped in a padded envelope or box. This means that the postage will be a minimum of $3.78 ($13.25 for international orders), plus $2.00 processing fee. THE LOWEST SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEE WILL BE $5.78 ($16.25 for international orders). If you are only ordering 1 or 2 pieces, please realize that it requires a lot of time and effort to sort, organize, pull and pack an order regardless of size, and maintain this site. Therefore, it is in your best interest to order more pieces to offset this fee. Payment is expected within 7 days of initial order date, this includes any additions to your order. If you have questions concerning an order, please contact us by email before placing your order to avoid confusion and misunderstandings. Pieces damaged in transit must have purchased insurance in order for you to expect a refund. We are a Florida-based business, therefore, Florida residents will be charged 7.5% sales tax.
WEIGHT:
Weight should be displayed when you place your order. To estimate your shipping charges, go to USPS.com: use my zip code is 32311 as where it is coming from and your zip code going to. Please remember that you need to add more weight to allow for packaging and materials depending on the size of your order.
ADDITIONS TO ORDERS:
Any additions made to an existing order once it has been paid for through paypal will incur a fee of $1.00 regardless of what the status of your order says. You know if you have paid for your order. Please be sure that you are finished with your order before paying for it. We don't mind additions but not after payment has been made.
PACKAGING:
If you would like your order sent in a corrugated box for added protection, please request it in the comment section, otherwise orders will be packed in a padded envelope unless it is too large. Remember, boxes weigh more than padded envelopes and will add to the cost of the postage. If you want each lot to be packed in its own zip bag, there will be an additional 10-20 cent surcharge per lot. 20 items of one lot will be packed in its own bag. Multiple lots will be packaged together. Used items will be packed separate from new ones. All items will be shipped in a padded envelope or box with tracking if available. We can no longer ship stickers/instructions in an envelope with no tracking.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Currency accepted is US Dollars only. If you pay in euros, you are paying too much for your order. Payments made in any currency other than US dollars will be refused.
International orders will be processed according to the USPS web site. Customs declaration will be the dollar amount for your order not including shipping and handling charges. International orders are shipped international first class, priority or express so please realize that rates may be high depending on which option is used. Not all countries will allow insurance on first class packages but will accept registered mail (the fee for this service starts at $16.00) or use priority or express service. We will give you whatever options are available for your order if you are requesting insurance otherwise we will ship at the lowest possible rate. International orders valued at more than $50.00 will be shipped priority mail for security, no exceptions.
Anyone who chooses to not purchase insurance on any international package and then files a claim with Paypal, their country will be banned from this site to everyone in that country. If your country's postal service is not reliable, we will not be held accountable for any lost packages. Custom labels are not tracking numbers nor hold any insurance value. They only go as far as when the package left the United States.
TIME FRAME:
Orders are to be paid within 7 days of the initial order date, this includes any additions to your order. For example: You place an order on the 1st of the month - I invoice you - you decide on the 4th to add to your order - I invoice you again - payment should be made by the 7th of the month so I can ship by the 8th. You will receive a 2nd notice on day 4. We do not have space to hold orders indefinitely. If you are paying by check or money order, payment is still expected to be received within 7 days of being invoiced. Please mail your payment promptly to avoid a NPB from being filed and let us know when payment is placed in the mail. A Non-Paying Buyer alert will be filed after 7 days. This can be removed once you have paid for your order but will result in being banned from this store. Items are removed from inventory when you place an order. if you are taking more than 7 days to decide on what you are buying, you are preventing other people from having access to those pieces. Please be considerate and take care of your order in a timely manner.
IF YOU PAY FOR YOUR ORDER AND THE STATUS IS NOT CHANGED TO PAID, PACKED OR SHIPPED WITHIN 24 HOURS, PLEASE CONTACT US. We ship within 24 hours of payment made through paypal except on weekends or postal holidays with the exception of orders requiring a trip to the post office (such as first class international, orders with no correct address listed with Paypal, etc.) will be shipped on the next visit to the post office. We go there 1-2 times a week not daily. If you do not include an address when making your payment through paypal or your address is different than the one listed on your Bricklink order, your order will be delayed in shipping until our next trip to the post office. Express orders will be shipped within 24 hours of payment if possible.
Orders will be shipped as economically as possible (usually within 24 hours of payment clearing). All orders will be shipped to the address listed with Bricklink when you place your order to avoid confusion. Please use the comment section on the order form if any additional services or special handling is requested.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
We are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. eastern time. Orders received after 5 p.m. Friday will not be processed until Monday. We are closed the day before postal holidays since shipping is not available.
Placing an order is a binding contract as specified by Bricklink. Cancellations are not an option. Once an order has been processed, cancelling it means it has to processed twice to return the pieces to inventory plus other people don't have access to something you ordered then changed your mind about. If you choose to cancel an order, a NPB will be filed, negative feedback left as well as being permanently banned from this store. All I ask from a buyer is that you fulfill your end of the transaction. If you want an estimate on your shipping, simply go to USPS.com and put in the zip codes to and from (ours is 32311) and estimate the weight. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER JUST TO GET THE SHIPPING - a NPB and stop list will be filed for orders that are not fulfilled by you.

Up to 20 lots - free. 10 cent surcharge for each additional lot over 20. See store terms tab. This does not include postage, insurance, Florida sales tax or any other charges, only the order total for Lego product ordered.
