I've just tried to re-open my store after the holidays. I change the store
state to 'Open' and click 'Save changes', and get this unhelpful
banner message at the top of the page:

"There was an error while saving the changes. Please check the respective
input field(s) below."

No fields are marked as being in error, and the store remains closed.

I have cleared out all cookies, which made no difference.

Check all your text fields in your Shop settings, like close reason, banner,
terms, etc.

Ideally save them locally and empty everything, reopen with all empty text fields.
Maybe one has a special char which blocks it. Progressively put them back again,
one by one...

Thanks, that did it!

The 'store password' field turned out to be the culprit. No funny characters
in it, just letters and numbers. Removing that fixed the issue.

The form should have highlighted this field if it had a problem with it. I do
wish the devs would learn to *test* their code before inflicting it on us...

Nice find, congrats!

But about the code, you're daydreaming
