I have a package in UK for which I want to buy a shipping label for to be sent
to me in Canada.
The cheapest option is parcel2go via the option Evri which cost about 22 GBP.
Otherwise Royal mail is always good and I know they handle the package to CanadaPost.
I think it costs about 30.5 GBP but if Evri is as good and reliable as Royal
mail, then i would use it to ship this package.
I don't have any experience with Evri. Had never heard of it. Would you recommend
it?
(Item's value: 190 GBP)
P.S. please do not highjack the thread with comments/questions like:
- are you a buyer or seller,
- the seller is responsible to buy a shipping label to send the package to you,

Thanks and have a wonderful new year party!
EVRI used to be called MyHermes. Most UK folks called it MyHerpes, due to how
chronic the service used to be. However, they've turned it around for the
most part and now offer a timely service with less parcels being damaged, destroyed
or going missing. Their couriers vary significantly - some are excellent (our
local courier for example), but others are terrible and will happily throw your
parcel over the back gate, or hide it in a bin.
Royal Mail, used to be great - now it tends to be as slow as a frozen snail in
treacle and very expensive. The parcel will get delivered eventually, and usually
to the occupant, but more often than not to their doorstep.
Porch pirates are fairly rare in the UK, but increasing.
Royal Mail is the safest option, but EVRI are increasingly more reliable, cheaper
and faster.

I would go with Royal Mail tracked. Might be more expensive but you get what
you pay for.

Sometimes they are very good. And sometimes they'll stand on your parcel,
or send you a photo of a different parcel in front of someone else's house
and claim they delivered something to you.
Evri are fine for something of low value and you pay the full insurance.
Royal Mail more reliable and full compensation can be a challenge if lost but
they are more reliable. All of which you pay for though.
My rule of thumb is under £50 i am ok with Evri, everything else it is RM.
I will not touch Evri with a bargepole, they are utterly useless, I posted a
25kg package with them that was around 1m long and 35cm wide and deep. THEY MANAGED
TO LOOSE IT!!!!
Luckily it was insured and I was not out of pocket.
Their customer service is non existant and they do not deliver on time, their
drivers are paid per delivery they make and when they can't get there they
either drop them in a ditch or just deliver them to a random door.
I would use Royal Mail everythime.
