So I just recently found out per USPS that when filing a claim, they can NOT
accept Bricklink invoices as proof of value because we "create" the value.
And they can not LEGO because they are not the actual seller. As anyone else
had this issue and what did you use for proof of value?
Thanks in advance.

You should appeal by showing similar values from other sources.
Proof of payment from PayPal/Stripe along with the BL invoice.

All value is "created".
Bricklink is a free mark market exchange and arguably the best source of value.
How close is the order to the 6-month average on Brickstore? I'm not saying
this is the full picture, but rather a jumping off point.
To those that would claim acquisition cost is the value, I would argue acquisition
is not the value as the processing is where additional value is created and true
Bricklink margins are thin. I would argue sales value is accurate.
That being said, I have only had 1 claim, it was through UPS, and they covered
everything but the shipping. When I discussed this with PirateShip (third party
discounter that many of us use) they stated that I would have done better going
through them and would have recovered shipping as well. Maybe this falls under
"Take it with a grain of salt", but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Oh - and the client is also allowed to file a claim with USPS. If they filed
the claim the "created value" claim would not seem valid.
So maybe:
Appeal or reach out to your shipping service if you use them for leverage.

I took a screenshot shot of what I sold it for and a screenshot of brickeconomy
price chart. No questions

Yes they denied our appeal both for same reasons. We did take screen shots and
still denied. Paypal not accepted as proof because it is our "set prices
of value".
I wonder if this is something new or it just depends who reviews the claim? On
every claim I have made (the last one being in the beginning of November) using
a screenshot of the Order Summary page and they have all been accepted.
