The description currently states: "This set was an exclusive to FAO Schwarz
in the United States."
It never appears in FAO catalogs. Instead, it was sold exclusively through Sears
from 1966-71. For 1966, it was known as the 324-piece set, but included the same
instruction sheet as in all subsequent copies. It sold in a cardboard box. From
1967 to around 1970, it was simply known as the 335-piece set. For 1970-71, it
was given a colorful box and the 835 number(Samsonite typically gave sets numbers
based on their part count, but the 335 Transport Truck released in 1968 so that
number was already occupied). The colorful box included the same instructions
as the 324-piece set back in 1966(which featured the house model later used as
the set's box top) and the form number(H-2226) reflects this.
