Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I've tried to download the "My
Collection" file but I get an error message "This file does not have
an app associated" when I try to open it on my laptop.
Do any of you have any idiot proof (me not you) advice on how I go about fixing
it... presently using Microsoft 365 Office (Home Edition).

What do you intend to do with the file when you 'open' it? That answers
with which program ('app' you should open it. For viewing, you could
use your web browser, for editing try Notepad (or Notepad++), to have it as a
spreadsheet, try Excel.
The only thing remaining is that you have to tell your operating system which
app you want to use for this file or .xml files in general. (Click with your
right mouse button and choose [Open with...], then [Choose another app] and locate
Excel or Notepad or whatever you want to use.

Many thanks for the reply. Presently the Right click open with XML option is
throwing out the error message and the other options were not displaying the
Pics... On the Minifigure for sale section it was possible to copy the entire
listing and paste into Excel retaining the columns and pictures (albeit with
a little manipulation)..... I guess I could carry on with that method as I've
already got the lot in Episode Tabs just thought it might save me some duplication.
