Sadly, this is a bad news for everyone.
Here's the french post statement.
"The United States recently adopted an executive order that significantly
changes customs procedures, effective August 29, 2025, for goods shipped to the
United States and annexed territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands,
the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, and the Minor Outlying Islands).
Goods are now taxed starting from the first dollar, whereas previously they were
duty-free up to $800.
These customs duties are payable to U.S. Customs before the items enter the United
States. The following are suspended as of August 25, 2025:
Mail and parcel shipments containing goods (excluding Chronopost)
Sales of mail and parcel postage to the United States at post offices, except
for mail containing documents on laposte.fr
Deposits of parcels to the United States at post offices, except for Chronopost.
The following are maintained because they are not affected by these taxes:
Gift shipments between individuals under €80/$100 (this threshold includes the
value of the goods as well as postage costs.)
Chronopost shipments
Sales of postage for mail containing only documents on laposte.fr
Mail shipments containing only documents (postage sold on laposte.fr)
We are making every effort to resume all shipments as soon as possible in compliance
with the new regulations."
I need to find out about the Minor Outlying Islands, who they are, and change
my shipping settings for an indefinite period.
Sadly, this is a bad news for everyone.

It is temporary and fortunately at the quietest time of year. It is better they
suspend then restart so all packages comply rather than run a continual service
with sellers and buyers not knowing what will happen to the parcel.
