Do other platforms have accept links in emails with updated terms?
I have one from Google saying (essentially) "if you don't agree then
stop using our services" and a similar one from Stripe.

Asking how to accept terms when there isn't a clear way to do so - obviously
we all need to agree to continue.
You already accepted the ToSby using the site, any updates to the ToS dont change
that.
Usually the ToS also states that it can be changed without notice and if you
dont like it, stop using the service.

Yes, e.g., the current Terms have the following in section 4.2:
We may update and change the Seller Terms from time to time and we will give you prior notice via Site posting (and in case of material changes via email notification) of the updates and changes and you will have an opportunity to read and assess if you wish to accept the revised Seller Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Seller Terms, then BrickLink is entitled to terminate these Seller Terms and disable your Seller account. By continuing using the Site, listing any new items for sale in your store on the Site, or selling items via the Site following such notice, you will be deemed to have agreed to the updated Seller Terms

Usernames and store names
Eventually, your LEGO Account nickname will become your public username on
BrickLink. This change will not happen on September 18th, 2025 during LEGO
Account integration but will happen in the months after the integration. If your
current username or store name doesn’t meet our guidelines for LEGO Account nicknames,
we recommend updating it as soon as possible to secure your preferred name.
So to be clear, if my LEGO.com name is Ziegelmeister as well, I'm golden.
And Ziegelmarkt as the store name won't be affected, yea?

The LEGO® Account nickname guidelines apply to store names as well. So, if your
LEGO nickname meets the guidelines, the store name will too. We'll share
more information on the deadline for changing your Bricklink store name when
the time comes, which will be after account integration on September 18th.

That doesn’t make sense: there’s no logical relation here. Store names are generally
different from usernames/nicknames, so that the store name meet the guidelines
isn’t a sequitur of the nickname doing it.
SylvainLS does meet the guidelines (strangely…). But maybe BuyerOnly doesn’t.
I don’t know, it could be considered offensive. And I have no way to know.
Also, some nicknames were already rejected for no real reasons (especially those
with “brick(s)” in them), that doesn’t foster confidence.

Uncertainty. It should surprise no one that Fear and Doubt are not far behind.

Yea I'm... Losing a little confidence.
I'm not sure if things are getting lost in translation or not. I've
shifted from cautiously optimistic to pessimistic and will too likely shutter
the shop for 24-48 hours around Sept 18.

I'm sorry to say that while this may work for a limited number of stores
it will not work for most including mine. My username and store name are not
the same. My username is nammasnart96 and my store is Bionicles, Bricks, & More.
Explain how that is going to work.
I already figured out that I will be forced to change my store name because
"Bionicles" is considered Lego property even when used descriptively
as in what I sell. The Lego Corp. hasn't shown a bit of compassion for the
sellers on this site that have spent years building a brand identity around their
store name and in turn growing this site into the world's largest aftermarket
Lego sales site. I could say more but I would just be preaching to the choir!

Please can I ask what is the point of this integration?
Considering that Bricklink was hacked in the not too distant past, isn't
it prudent to keep both logins seperate to reduce the risk/potential fallout
if this happens again? To be honest, I've had Bricklink and LEGO accounts
for 10+ years each and am quite happy to remember/use different IDs and passwords
- it's not overly burdensome.
Also, I'm not sure about what is effectively an ultimatum in the email -
if you don't comply, your account will be deleted/removed? Is this an appropriate
way to treat your fans/customers?

Not quite true. BrickLink wasn’t hacked, some BrickLink accounts were phished.

We don’t know the exact reasons for the merge, but if security is one of the
reasons, it would be because only one login system means only one system to control
/ check / harden.
And it’s the LEGO Identity system that’ll be used. The one that has millions
more users than the other, and no history of hacking / phishing / failure.
The other reasons for merging would be (still guesses) easing the use of BL by
LEGO.com users, making BL more officially part of the LEGO Group, simplifying
help desk issues…. If you keep BDP in mind, you find a lot of reasons.

It’s not “if you don’t comply,” it’s “if you don’t agree.” It’s desingenuous
to paint that as an ultimatum.
As already noted in several posts, all ToS work like that: if you don’t agree
to the ToS, you stop using the site / if you continue using the site, then you
agree to the new ToS.

Well, you have a month to print the current version so you can check with the
new one.
(My guess is they still don’t know exactly what will change.)
