A few months ago we had several of the paid / pending orders come into our store
but we have none of them sense then. Now we have one with order we placed (instead
of received) so I thought I would share the details from a "Buyers" perspective.
We placed an order for some figs in a store located here in the US using instant
checkout and tried to pay. On the very last step the BrickLink icon on the upper
'tab' just kept spinning and would not stop spinning and the order showed
up as Paid / Pending. When we received orders with the Paid / Pending status
paypal always canceled the payment exactly 24 hours later. The same thing happened
with the order we placed, the payment was canceled 24 hours later. Tried paying
a second time with the same results so I tried it a third time on a different
computer and different browser with the same results. I am going to ask the store
to cancel the order so we can try to place it again and see if the payment goes
thru and will update this post when we find out.

Maybe other "buyers" can post their details on orders that show up as
Paid / Pending so that hopefully it can help BrickLink figure out what is wrong.

If the store has on option to pay with Stripe rather than paypal do that. Tons
of stores are getting bombarded with Paid-pending issues right now and its only
getting worse as stores are now closing because of the issue. The only work around
is to send the owner paypal money directly and leave bricklink out of it as bricklink
is the issue.

You won't be able to complete and file an orders if paid off bricklink.

So you’re saying you’re getting buyers thanks to BrickLink and are fulfilling
the orders but you are cancelling them on BL.  That’s against the ToS.

Are you also pocketting the taxes that BL would have collected from the buyer
and then remitted to the authorities?  Just curious….

No - they're not "getting buyers" thanks to Bricklink. What they're
getting is people who WANT to buy but CANNOT buy, BECAUSE of Bricklink.
