Hi. It's my first message here. One very tiring aspect of the whole BL platform
is the missing of fields that state the quality of the items.
For sets, complete/uncomplete field is not enough. If uncomplete, there should
be a list of the missing parts. This will force the seller to review the completeness
of the set, listing the exact missing parts; and will help the buyer in better
understanding the real value of the set and the expected value of the missing
parts (and where he can find them).
Also, used bricks can be from like new to very bad conditions (or even broken).
I would strongly suggest to add this field for sets as well as for instructions
and boxes.
Boxes also, should have other ad hoc fields. For example: cardboard presence,
inner plastics presence, colors fading, humidity stains, box integrity (missing
flaps, broken sides, etc.). In this way descriptions will be leaner and these
fields will be searchable.
Thank you.
There is a comments box that allows for any relevant information to be added.
Having a mass of additional boxes for this would hamper the sellers ability to
add items quickly, a process that is already time consuming.
If a seller does not add these details, adding a load more boxes will not make
this happen with any more clarity.

The only additional checkboxes I would like to see are for sets. One each for
inclusion/exclusion of instructions & original boxes.

A comment is subjective by nature (BL is literally flooded with meaningless "x/10"
evaluations in the comments). A structured set of specific fields would be more
useful—for example, for a set: incomplete? [list of missing parts]; includes
instructions? [conditions]; includes box? [conditions]; includes inner tray?
plastics?—and so on. This would give buyers the ability to evaluate the item
in both relative and absolute terms, making it easier to compare with similar
listings.
If a seller chooses not to use these fields, in my opinion, they're simply
missing an opportunity to highlight the qualities of their items and, more importantly,
to be searchable by those criteria. Of course, these fields wouldn't be mandatory,
as it's virtually impossible to standardize all items currently for sale,
but they should be recommended.
