If you have a custom built app (as I do) what are the features and how did you
build it?
I wanted to get hold of my inventory, which was totally non existing. Therfore
I started to build my own inventory app (just running locally at home) using
some technologies of my professional. Now it's complete as of my wanted features
but I'd love to share info with others having their own inventory app(s)

I have also made apps myself to be able to communicate better with BL.
That is the only way you can make it as special as you want. I would ignore the
usual comments here in the forum that you should just install Brickstore.
So I understand what you are saying.
I now have an app (only for myself) to view random minifigures, make selections
in it and possibly order directly. I have linked a database of desired minifigures
to it.
Anyway: writing software yourself to do things with BL is in itself a lot of
fun. The question of whether it is effective or profitable does not seem relevant
to me in this case.
Good luck with your project and if you have specific questions you can contact
me via my store

Well, BrickStore is better than My Collection or a bad spreadsheet
But if you can do something that works better for you with the tools you’re used
to, go for it!
I needed a better way to pick parts instead of using a sheet of paper. I can
also quickly check and update inventory as I pick orders. It does lots of other
things now too.
